Go to acer.com, support and downloads. Put your model number in, select your operating system and the driver downloads will be listed. The web cam driver should be there.
try downloading YAWCAM, it is a freeware software for web cams. The other thing you can do is to check the drivers for your web cam in the computer management
because the cam is built in its not as versatile as a mobile cam, but you can turn the cam over 225 degrees to film from the back of the notebook.
If using Vista, open the cam software click the right arrow next to record video button and set your personal settings, click record and then any recording will be saved to my videos.
You then can import it into windows movie maker and then add any effects to your movie.
