You must have aux sends on each individual channel and each AUX MASTER turned up for output and each of those outputs must be going to separate amps.

all are done , still have no sound.

  • Anonymous Apr 12, 2011

Are you sure you're not referring to the 4 sub groups? (faders near masters) if so they need to be assigned by buttons near channel faders.

  • Anonymous Apr 12, 2011

    double check - here ->http://www.lightandsound.at/wp-content/u...

  • Anonymous Apr 12, 2011

Yes, they are assigned by the three buttons near channel(stereo input 23-24) faders 1-2, 3-4, mas.

I have xr 1220 an no sound output?mixer is working but no sound output to the speakers.

Hi there,

If there's a cue output on the unit, use this to make sure it's actually outputting a signal.

Just put some headphones in the cue port and see if there's anything.

If there is, it may be a problem with your speakers or how you've connected it to your speakers.
If all else fails, it'll be your output board in the mixer that's the issue.

Good luck & have a great day! :)

Can you plug a stereo headphone (for on stage monitor) to aux 1 on a Soundcraft fx12? This output seems to be only mono...

Generally mono outputs on this kind of mixer are usually balanced. This means all three poles of the connector are connected. The hot or plus signal (tip) will go to the left of your phones, the cold or minus (ring) will go to the right. This will be ok from a sound point of view But it may not have enough drive to make the phones loud enough.
If you only hear a signal in the left then the output is unbalanced.
A simple fix is a cheap headphone amp (less than 20 pounds) and a simple jack to two phono lead (wired as a split). There is a ton of old audio equipment about for very little money including some very small mixers, that have headphone outputs, that is what I have done a lot in the past.

Right output channel not working on main mixer

In order to help you we would need the make and model of the mixer.

I've connect my sampler to the mixer. In the RCA "send" and it won't play through my speakers. I can only hear it through the headphones. What could be the problem? I'm using Numark...

You would NOT connect an audio signal to the "send" jacks... those are OUTPUTS... In doing so you are driving signal backward enough to get to the headphones. Sends and returns are NORMALLY used on a mixer for external effects. You should either be using a LINE input jack or one for "tape input".

No sound

There can be any number of reasons for this problem - solve it diagnostically by starting with something that you know is working and work through systematically to the other end.
  1. Test a microphone on a separate amp to make sure it works okay. Check amp and speakers working. Check that all output cables from mixer to amp are working by testing separately.
  2. Plug microphone into a channel on mixer. Also plug in headphones and turn headphone volume control up.
  3. Make sure input sensitivity knob is turned up a bit (say half way) and main output faders (yellow) are up.
  4. Check that channel is turned on (little button just above the channel fader- needs to be pressed down)
  5. press pfl (pre-fade listen) button (next to button to switch channel on)- do you get any sound on main output or headphones or any indicator lights on mixer to show signal is getting that far (eitehr the individual channel metering lights or the main ones in the central section)?
  6. turn off pfl - make sure channel fader (slider) is up - normal position is ) - about 3/4 of way up. Check lights again on individual channel and main output section - any signs?
  7. Is the sub mix button for the channel pressed down - in which case you will need to bring sub mix (red) output faders up as well as main faders.
  8. If you have got signs of signal on the individual channel but not main see if the channel has been routed somewhere odd (like a subgroup of channels).
  9. Plug a working amp and speakers into one of the auxiliary outputs and use the relevant auxiliary send knob (on each channel just above the faders and pfl switches) to pan some signal to that auxiliary out - do you get anything? There is also a headphone socket for listening to the auxiliary channels (with a selector switch /knob to determine which one - make sure it is in the right position) try listening to the auxiliary output with headphones - anything? If yes the problem lies in the main output section.
  10. Check that there is not a jack plug in the insert socket (to route signal through an external effects unit) without a matching return jack being plugged in - if appropriate is relevant effects unit switched on and correctly set up - if unsure remove the insert plug to take it out of the system.
  11. Make sure any mute buttons are not switched in on main outputs.

Hi, I have a DJM 400 Pioneer mixer, I'm having trouble with the output levels. It seems the left output is only putting out about half the sound of the right output.I have used different RCA cables,...

Please try a set of headphones. If it is balanced in the phones, then I suspect trouble might be in the muting circuits of the main output.

Next test is to verify the outputs using direct inputs to the CD input...

How to connect mixer to a crown power base 2 amp and speakers

just use the main left and right outputs of the behringer to run xlr (3 prong balanced) to 1/4 inch (looks like a big headphone plug) cables into the inputs of the crown amp. the mixer has the xlr outputs and the amp has 1/4 inch inputrs, sop the cables will have to reflect that on both ends. run the outputs of the amp (rca outputs, i believe, you may have to get a rca plug to 1/4 inch jack adapter, and then use a 1/4 inch speaker cable) to the inputs of the speakers, again, the amp has rca outputs and the speakers will likely have 1/4 inputs, so you will have to address that wil an adapter. have each speaker in its own channel.

No output power

It is likely the amps have been blown. Take for repair as further use may cause further damage.

Test the mixer by plugging headphones into the main L and R outputs. Note you will hear only one side of the headphone being these are mono outputs. The level will be low, but will check that the rest of the mixer is working.

ALSO please read my tip on here regarding a hazard of speaker polarity.

Left channel out on behinger ub2222fx-pro could use a service manual. Thanks in advance

Behringer only give the manuals to their authorized service agencies I am told.

Mixers are very symetrical and have lots of diagnostic capability from the outputs.

If you headphones work, chances are the moxer biss es are OK which probably focuses the problem on the output drivers.

Use headphones to see what jacks work... Remember that a stereo headphone will only have sound on one side for the mono jacks you test.

If your mains have a dedicated slider, one half of the slider could be bad. Usually you can tell those by a rougness as you slide them.

Mixing headphone levels

More important than your keyboard for this question is the mixer you are using.

Put the metronome on a channel and only pot it up in an Aux send. Set up the mix for your phones using that same aux send. Use the main outs for PA.

That would be one way to do it. The idea is, you want to set up a mix for you, and a separate mix for everyone else. Mixers are capable of having several different mixes sent on their various outputs, so pick one to use for your headphones, and use a different set of outputs for the other mix.

A mixer does exactly that. It mixes. If you think of a graph, the X side would be your inputs, the Y side is your outputs. You can mix different versions of X at each Y.
