How to get the page count on a Brother HL-6050

To obtain a page count (also called a meter reading) from a Brother HL-6050 printer, follow the steps below. (This procedure also applies to the HL-6050D and the HL-6050DN models.)

A. When the machine is on and ready to print, press any of the following keys to bring up the menu: Set, Back, +, or -.

B. The first menu heading that appears is Information; press Set to select it.

C. Use the + or - keys to scroll through the Information menu until you see Maintenance.

D. Press Set to select it.

E. The first option that you'll see is Page Counter; press Set to view the count.

The number of pages printed so far will appear on the screen. Once you've seen or recorded this number, keep pressing the Back button until you're back at the Ready screen.

If you would rather have a printout with the page count on it, you can get that instead by simply pressing the Set button three times from the Ready screen. The first time you press it you'll bring up the menus, the second time you'll select the Information menu, and the third time you'll select Print Settings. When you choose Print Settings, three pages of information will print out, showing supply usage, jam counters, and machine settings. On the second page, about halfway down the page under the <Device Status> heading, you'll see the page count. Beneath the page count, you can also find the number of pages printed from each paper tray, as well as the page count broken down by paper size (for example, letter-size paper, legal-size paper, or envelopes).

How to print one document on mutiple trays

Once you have installed and setup a multi-tray printer you might like to try to print a document to different printer trays. Open a word document and create a two page document.
  • Select your new printer under file->Print (if it's not the default)
  • Click the page layout tab
  • Click the small triangle at the bottom right
  • Open the page setup dialog box and click the page Paper Tab
  • Choose a tray for the first page and other pages. Close the dialog box and print.

I have a canon pixma mp630 printer and i want to print my file with .tif exrension .my file is 4pages but i want to print just 1 page.how can i do it?

When you choose to print, maybe File--Print (depends from the program that you are using to print),
and you get that pop up window, there is a page range section that you can choose from three radio buttons. Click on the third (Pages) and enter the page number of the page you want to print.(ex. 1 )

These options my vary depending from where you are trying to print

Dell 3100cn Printer will not print

I had to actually change the settings in Microsoft Word to resolve this problem.

If you go to page setup > paper source > there should be lists for "first page" and "other pages".

You can set this to "as per printer settings" and hopefully it should work.
