My kenmore 70 series washer will not spin or agitate

If you can hear the motor running,then its the direct drive coupler between the motor and transmission that the teeth are broken off and cannot mesh, you need to remove front panel to check,but,if no motor noise,then its your lid safety switch under the top cover,you need to remove front and top cover to check
