I Have had my HP photosmart 2700/2600 series for 2 1/2 years, did not notice anything last time i used it. I went to turn it on today and it did not power up. I reconnect the power cord i hear some type of quiet sound and when i hit power nothing?
psu checked ok (psu o/p 32 volts divided by current give resistor value, use suitable wattage to check psu) insert resistor into psu barrel conn.In my case the logic board is blown Q3452-60173..HP do not list part.psu checked ok (psu o/p 32 volts divided by current give resistor value, use suitable wattage to check psu) insert resistor into psu barrel conn.In my case the logic board is blown Q3452-60173..HP do not list part.

We printed on ours a couple of days ago. This morning when my hubby went to print, it wouldn't power up. Checked all the connections and they are fine. Looks like we'll have to get a new one. Couldn't come at a worse time as hubby just got laid off.We printed on ours a couple of days ago. This morning when my hubby went to print, it wouldn't power up. I have two of these back there, both of them simply died, after prolonged use, personally I liked them better than the newer ones. I have never been able to find out how to fix them or anyone who can.

I just followed the instructions on this website for my HP Photosmart C8100 series All in One (it's about 4 years old or so). I'm so glad bc every website I went to said I'd basically need to replace my unit if the power on/off thing didn't work. Definitely if your printer fits the models this guy lists, try this first. Worked for me, and I'm totally tech-naive! But right now I'm super proud of myself :)

We have a Photosmart C4700 series and we can only use recycled ink cartridges 2 or 3 times and then the printer rejects them. I don't know if this anwers your question at all.
I also frequently have this problem with my C6200, definitely the first and last time I buy anything from HP.
Anyways, onto you're problem: I've always found what fixes this is to simply turn your printer off and then back on. I also noticed that whenever you turn off or reset or log off your computer the printer can never locate the computer to scan to. I still haven't found that fix, but what I told you about turning the printer on and off should fix your problem.
OK try this Remove Power Cord from Printer, remove USB cable from PC. Reboot PC. Wait 10 mins, then connect, the Power again to printer. Turn OFF PC. While OFF plug in the USB cable TO any other USB other than the one used before. Turn PC ON. After a bit you should hopefully have a working printer. If that doesn't work, Unplug USB, reboot & then using your DVD re-install it all again.
Hi.
If you are using the batteries that came with the camera or just regular or Lithium batteries, this could be your problem.
At Walmart or any discount store, buy 2 NiMH rechargeable batteries with the charger. Believe me, years ago when I bought my first digital camera, the same thing happened to me. I was only getting a few pictures and the batts went dead, especially if I was using the LCD screen and not the view finder, or using the zoom which both of them take alot of power.
NiMH batteries are made to last using when using digital hardware.
Hope this works for you!!!!
