I have done as you have suggested and I have not gotten word back yet. I sent an email as soon as you told me to. Am I not giving them enough time?

You have an over load or short on the +5 line on either the A or B board. I have a link where you can inquire about replacement borads for your sony, leave them a email with your model number and you error code and they will respond quickly. They have the best prices on Sony replacement boards . Here is the link.

eight blinks means, "High-voltage error" and the probable cause location listed is, "T8005 is faulty (D board)". T8005 is the fly-back transformer assembly.
