We have had problems switching on our Pioneer PDP-507XD plasma tv. The standby light just flashes. We were advised to change the power supply unit. We hav4e done this and it has not solved the problem Please help!!

How many times this standby/power light blinks at one time switch ON?Count it carefully.These blinks are fault indication, and known as blinking codes.From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON; you can get an idea about the faulty circuit stage inside the TV.This will make repair easy. Make sure the cable is plugged into input 5 if your tv is on input 5. Make sure that you don't need to be on the AV input. I suggest using a hdmi cable also to bring the resolution up to 1080p. Make sure the wire isn't shorted also.

Power supply probably needs to be replaced if you don't even hear the relay click after the power is switched on.
