No. The maximum that your motherboard will support is 2 GBs of RAM. 1 GB on each slot. Refer to this link: http://www.crucial.com/store/listparts.aspx?model=D945GCNL
Hi
your motherboard doesnt support 4gb ram
SOURCE: I have 2 DDR2 RAM
this motherboard will only support 2 GB of ram
Cons: Supports only 2GB of RAM, which is less than some similarly priced motherboards. For example, the GigaByte GA-MA69VM-S2, an AMD 690V-based motherboard at around $75, supports up to 16GB of RAM.
hope this helps you
SOURCE: Hi I have intel motherboard D945GCNL with Dynet 1
Your RAM needs to be:
Make sure the New RAM is not bad.
Ensure that the new RAM is the same type as your old one (DDR2 XXX)
Install the old one back and make sure that your PC works.
If it does, Take the Old RAM out and install the New RAM in the same slot as the old one.
If the PC does not work with the new one, It is more than likely a bad stick of RAM
Hope this helps
