Question about Samsung (SH-S162L/BEBN) DVD RW Burner

2 Answers

How do I use this DVD writer?

Acquired my son's PC when he upgraded and bought a MAC for college.

I have a Samsung (I think) TSSTcorp CD/DVDW SH-S162L but I can't locate support for this, can't find the manual either. I don't see any software listed in Program Manager and I don't know what (EASY) software to use. I need to copy a 20 min personal DVD for a business presentation ASAP. (Not a commercial movie or anything like that).

Thanks in advance for any help or direction.

Nope...none installed, don't think he ever actually used this, at least he can't remember doing so...guess he has a lot on his mind today. Thanks though...I do have Nero, but it's at my store and I need to get this done tonight if possible. Thanks so much ;-*

Look in the list of programs for NERO or Roxio, one of these should be your burning software.

Deep Burner is an option, you can copy the files off the old dvd, and burn them to your new dvd. This software is very easy to use!

As you say your DVD-RW is not read or write disk it is simple that your device lens became weak. But before replacing it with new one use lens cleaner cd to clean your device lens.Maybe it works and save your money.

Media Center Receiver Service has encountered a problem and needs to close.

If you delete the information in the Control Panel and restart your computer, it will look for the driver by itself.

TSSTcorp CD/DVDW SH-S162L errror code 0x80020043

The problem might be with you cable remove the cable of your writer and plug it to another id port after pluging in install the drivers of the writer, this should solve your problem, if not then go to computer manager in that disk drives in that find the name of your writer. first disable it for a second then enable it now go to its properties and in that just press the button of check for updates, your screen will blink once and your drive will be installed properly.
