Been there done that It didn't work either (I had already tried it anyway).
Did I mention the older software loaded a year ago - no problem. Why wouldn't it work now?

I think there is a missunderstanding. THis is not a printer - it is an HP image scanner,.
Doesn't this make a difference:

Just tried that . There are no search items under qpedit.msc
actually there is no search item under gpedit..msc
actually I did type gpedit.msc but there is nothing even under just "gp" let alone the whole word.
also under just the "msc" seaerch there is only the task scheduler.
I am giving it a try as we speak. Will let you know.
well, I donwloaded it - took about a second and I loaded it. It didn't fix anything and took a couple of seconds to install. did you notice it's title was laserjet rather than scanjet.
Well it doesn't work like it is supposed to with all of the features it had . But it kinda sorta works and after spending $7.00 at WalGrens to scan one picture it is better then nothing.
I will try some of these solutions also unless I already have.
Yes. Better than HP zero help. They wanted $39.00 for nothing.
I down loaded the Scanjet G3010 W7 software. My model 4370 works fine now. The software even knows it is a 4370 scanner. Sham on HP for keeping that solution a secreat. I would have update the "article" referenced above but don't know how. Per that "artcle" I wasn't the first to use this solution.
