A test tube brush or a small bottle brush will fit and not damage anything. Alternatively as long as it is not used for saltwater soak in a bucket of 5 gallons water and a 1/2 cup of bleach will kill and separate any algae. Just rinse thoroughly to flush out any leftovers and to clear the unit.

How do i go about replacing the uv light

obtain proper replacement bulb
shut down entire filter for a moment before unscrewing the top locking ring off Uv filter (left turn) lift top off set asside
using a soft clean rag retract uv tube from its cylinder holder inside , remove power connector from tube end (you should have already removed all power from converter box) with extremely clean rag handle new tube ( allow no forign material to touch outside of tube ) reinsert power connector onto new tube (same way it came off old one) then reinsert tube into holder sleeve , route power cord to proper places away from lid , replace lid and install lock ring back with enough force to ensure a leak proof seal , re start pump ck for leaks if none found then restart power converter for Uv filter

Hello,
Try to fix it by replacing the broken part with a plastic embrace to hold the pressure of the water. Use plastic PVC with tie raps.
Thanks

Missing a owners manual for a Garden Treasures biological filter

I have the manual, and I can scan it as PDF, but dunno how to send it to you.  I guess this site won't want us to post email. The Canister is very easy to use, just DO NOT remove the metal tension seal ring.  To prep it, you first have to remove the 4+1 top screws; remove the top part (be careful do not pry the clear plastic cover off, that should stay intact); plug the UV in its socket and carefully insert the UV light into the center chamber; reassemble the top with 4+1 screws; attach the two cone-shape nozzles to the "In" and "Out" of the canister, if you use 3/8" tubing for the pump, then no need to cut the nozzles, if you use 1/2" tubing, then cut the 3/8" section off, likewise for the 3/4" tubing, make sure the In and Out should have the same flow to balance the pressure inside the canister; turn the handle to "Work" plug the tube from the pump into "In" and connect the "Out" with the tube return to the pond or water fall; Turn on the water pump and plug in the UV light (use GFCI), wait 30 secs, and you should see the flow from the return tubing. Note:  use a 650+ gph bump at least; DO NOT submerge the canister in the water; put the canister on an even surface; cover the canister against rain and moisture.  My 800-gallon "green" pond clears up in 7-days. Good luck!

Blue and green bulbs look like they have sawdust in them

Tubes need to be removed from set. Take off front lens with 4 screws, then remove the glass circle. Has a gasket, becareful. Do this over a sink. The fluid is a clear anti-freeze. Clean inside with Formula 409 and paper towel. Rinse with water and dry. There is a plastic expantion chamber on the side. Pull that out and clean it too. Put the tube back together. Note where the wingnut was when you took it apart and oriantate the lens to go in the same way. You can use a turkey baster to refill the tube through the expantion chamber opening. Fill it up as much as possable. Put chamber back on. Put tube face down for awhile and check for leaks. That round gasket can be reused sometimes, but check it first. Then put it back together and that's it. You'll have to unplug the board on the end of tube and the ground wires. Then unplug 2 seperate plugs...one for the yoke and the other for the convergace. Make sure you mark the wires you take off and the way the tube came out. Everything must go back the same way it came out. Fluid can be purchased at MCMelectronics.com Only need to do blue and green. Red never goes bad. Do one at a time. That's about it.
