Before you do anything else, if you have a firewall with your current protection and it is turned on, then you need to turn off windows firewall, since they create a conflict.
Virus/Security software is like a subscription that has to be renewed each year. Most new PCs come with a trial version (usually 90days) And then you have to buy it. You could go to
www.comodo.com and download the free security program there. You would download it> save it to your desktop> then when it is finished downloading you can click on it and install it. After you have it you need to explore it and choose from the options that it can do for you. After you have downloaded it and before you install it, you need to go to
start>control panel>install and uninstall programs, find your current virus control there and uninstall it. Make sure you save the comodo page to your favorites, so that if you have any problems you can download it again. If you need any further help with this let me know. Good luck

Has your license expired? You must at least had a year of using the program IF you paid for it.
If so, you need to buy a new license.
But if you downloaded the free version, either buy a license or un-install the program.
