Sounds like the convergence ICs and resistors due to the double image. You need two convergence ICs both STK392-110 ICs and the following six resistors. (2) 3.3 ohms 1watt resistors, (2) 1.8 ohm 1watt resistors. (1) 1.8 ohm 1watt resistors. (1) 3.9 ohm1watt resistor. You can get replacemnet ICs and resistors at the following link and they provide free instalation instructions so you can do the repair yourself. Heres the link.

How to fix loose cross hair on david white transit

This is how I replaced the cross hairs on my David White 8080. Disassemble the tube piece nearest the eye. There is a small ring that holds the hairs, it has small marks on it to indicate where the hairs are to be attached. Use a large lighted magnifying glass. Remove the old hairs. Take some plastic model glue and using a toothpick, place a very small amount on the marks to anchor the new hairs. This type of glue will produce strings or "hairs" when beginning to dry if you use a toothpick to stretch them out. Place some drying glue (several seconds old out of the tube) on one of the marks, and pull the toothpick away (creating a hair) and pull it across the ring to the mark on the other side. Repeat for the second cross hair. With a little practice you can make some very nice cross hairs.

Tip

Hi I am having the convergence problem with the rca 52" projection. I checked...

FL231. FUSE.... The RCA ITC222 chasis has a common problem. and it not all that difficult to repair. Does your rca projection tv have read blue and green shadows? Does it have bowing in affect on the top and bottom of picture? when you turn it on does some thin red green and blue line bow in from the top then go away. The main question to determine if you have the fl231 fuse problem is if you go into customer menu then setup do you have the "CONVERGENCE' option. If you do not. then i suspect you have this problem. In the manufactering of these sets Lead free solder is used. now there is great debate over the use of lead free. connection tend to be more brittle. cracks develop around the solder connections of the high voltage flyback transformer. this very small crack set up oscillations in the cuicit with a 400 milliamp fuse. THis fuse cant take it. When this fuse blows the processor then does not know its a projection tv with three projection tubes. it thinks its a crt tube tv. and crt tube tv dont need "convergence" so it removes the convergence from the set.

TO REPAIR... 1. Warning. this set can generate leathal dangerous voltages even unplug do not attempt if you have no experence with electronics.
2. Remove the back. there a number of torx 20 screws.
3. what you will see is a number of circit boards There will be one on the right and one on the left. the one on the right is the small signal board. the one on the left is called the power deflection board. it has a large black part with a big red or black wire coming from the top, this is the flyback.Next to the flyback on the right of it there will be three small rectangular componets tan or brown in color. these are fuses. the one in the middle is the fl231 fuse.
4. getting to this fuse can be difficult. these two cuicit boards sit on a tray that is removable. to remove this tray it is pulled out and up. BUt watch the wires.loosen the wire tyes.
5 when you get the tray up the bottom side of the board can be accessed
you will now have to unsolder that fuse. one side of this fuse is under a plastic part of the tray. i have found the easest way is to cut away the plastic to get to it. if you dont want to do this you will have to remove the board. only remove half of the plastic brace
6. REPLACE FUSE RCA PART 259213
7 RESOLDER FLYBACK CONNECTIONS simply heat up and add a little solder
8 reassemble set. make sure you examine the set for loose connections.
9 and remember "BE Careful'

How do you access the convergence calibration menu on a RCA P52926 Rear Projection TV

Hello
To access the convergence calibration:

Press the MENU button on the remote.

2. Press 3 to select the Screen option.

3. Press 4 to select the Adjust Projection TV option.

4. Press 4 to select the Advanced Convergence option (the
Advanced Convergence screen appears).

The green pattern is fixed. The red and blue patterns are adjusted to

the green pattern. The Red Convergence appears first by default.

5. Colored cross-hairs show the current adjustment position on the

grid. To move the cross-hairs to a different position, use the

CH+/- buttons on the remote to move the cross-hair highlight up

and down, and the VOL+/- buttons to move it right and left.

6. Use the arrow buttons to adjust the red pattern. Each press of

the arrow button makes a slight adjustment from the center of

the cross-hairs - you can press and hold the desired arrow

button to make a faster adjustment, and then make fine

adjustments with single presses of the arrow button.

7. Press the INFO button to switch to Blue convergence and follow

the steps above to adjust the blue pattern.

8. Press OK to exit. You will be asked if you want to save the
adjustments

Yes Saves adjustments.

No Returns to the Advanced Convergence screen allowing

further adjustments.
Clear Exits screen without making any changes

Note: Before you use the advanced convergence feature, you must
complete the previous steps to align the tubes

How do I adjust the convergence properties on an RCA rear projection tv?

Normally on the RCA rear projection TV's you would bring up your menu and choose the Setup menu, then press OK on the remote. That menu would then have Convergence as a choice. Once that was chosen the next menu would give you the choice of either letting the TV run it's own Autoconvergence program, or you would select either Red or Blue convergence.

Choosing Red Convergence would bring up a Yellow cross-hair in the middle of the screen. If the Convergence was not correct you would see separate Green and Red cross-hairs. Once they were perfectly aligned you would again see one Yellow cross-hair.

Choosing Blue Convergence would bring up a Blue cross-hair in the center of the screen. If the alignment was out you would see 2 Blue cross-hairs. Using the Up and Down and Left and Right cursor keys you would adjust the alignment until a single solid Blue cross-hair was in the center of the screen.

When I raise the cross hairs on the scope on the graft the bullet goes down and when i lower the cross hairs the bullet goes up is this correct. When I bought my pursuit boar sight from Basspro I only...

That is right. If you had the rifle held in a vice aimed at a particular point and without moving the rifle you raised the cross hairs you would now be aiming above the point. To get your aim back onto the same spot you would have to loosen the vice and lower the barrel of the rifle. This would mean that the next shot would hit the target lower down. The same is true if you lower the crosshairs which means the bullet would rise.
Likewise moving the crosshairs to the left brings your shot to the right and moving them right brings your shot to the left.

Parallax

What is out of focus? Your cross hairs or your whole picture? The parallax error is when you shift your head left, right, up, etc, the cross hairs stay on target. sometimes it will move with you and you will be off. But it shouldn't effect your site picture. You should still be able to see down range and the cross hairs should be in focus. Your rear most knob on the scope eyepiece will adjust to your vision. Mainly for the cross hairs though. I hope nothing broke loose in there to make it go out all at once. Hope this helps.

Convergence problem

You most likely have a power supply that feeds the convergence output IC's. If that is the case then both convergence IC's should be replaced as well as most likely one is shorted.
