Question about Innovage 1502084 Corded Phone

2 Answers

Area code I put in my local area code and when local calls come in, the local area code is included in the caller id. Therefore, when I push redial, the call won't go through because it's the same area code and I don't need to dial the area code. Then................. when a long distance call comes in, the 1- which preceeds the area code then the phone # isn't there. Then I have to redial the number myself putting in the 1. Who can help me with these problems? Otherwise, I love the phone.. Thanks..

I figured it out for my Panasonic KX-TG6581, at least. I pressed the soft key labeled "Select", then the one labeled "Edit", then pushed the Talk button and was able to return the call. It looks like a toggle setting -- I no longer see my local area code on the CIDs for local calls unless I repeat the above steps. It reappears after pushing "Edit".

Phone adds #1 to local calls in caller ID

talk with your service provider
if the number 1 is placed before a local number then logically when calling that number, the number would be recognized as a local number and be charged as such
Form what you say , if the number was from a caller in a different state and the number was prefixed by say 6 then the system would recognize that as a long distance call
again talk with your service provider and if accurate contact your state governor or senator and make an issue of the law requiring the prefix number on caller id

Uniden cordless phone caller id quit working

Using the Caller ID and Redial Lists
Caller ID (CID) is a service available from your telephone provider that shows the phone number (and sometimes the caller's name) of incoming calls. Contact your telephone provider for more information.
Caller ID list

Redial list

When a call comes in, the phone displays the number and name (if available) of the caller.
The phone saves the information for the last 30 received calls to the

CID list.
When it's in standby, the handset shows how many calls came in since the last time you checked the CID list.

Each handset remembers the last 5 numbers you dialed on it. The redial list is separate for each handset.

How do i delete previous calls from my call display

To open the caller ID list, press CALLER-ID/RIGHT (cursor-right on the circular cursor pad).
To open the redial list, press REDIAL/PAUSE.

Use cursor-up/down to select the desired entry and press MENU/SELECT. Select "DELETE ENTRY and press MENU/SELECT. In addition, in the caller ID list you will have the "DELETE ALL" option.

The above are from the "Using the Caller ID and Redial Lists" section of the manual (page 11 in my copy). If you need a manual, you can download one at

The caller Id is only displaying the phone number without the area code and without the name. how can we fix this?

you may have the settings of your ViSYS to so that the phone knows the area code of the phone already.
If so, that will make the caller id display only the 7 digit local phone number. This is so you can easily call back that number, since most telephone exchanges don't require the area code before the phone number if the caller is in your local calling area.

Caller i.d. doesn't work piece of junk

Please download this manual, and study e.g on page 21 About caller ID If you subscribe to caller ID service from your local telephone company, this feature displays the name and telephone number of the caller before answering a call (even when you are on another call). The caller ID features of this product will work only if you subscribe to caller ID service and both you and the caller are in areas offering caller ID service, and if both telephone companies use compatible equipment. Contact your local telephone company if: • you have both caller ID and call waiting, but as separate services (you may need combined service), • you have only caller ID service, or only call waiting service, • you do not subscribe to caller ID or call waiting services but wish to try them. There may be fees for these services, and they may not be available in all areas. This product can be used without subscribing to either caller ID or combined caller ID with call waiting service, although the caller ID features of this product will not function.

I have just purchased the Shift3 Talking Caller ID Phone. For some reason, the talking caller ID function does not work, i.e., no announcement is made identifying the number of the person calling. The "Set 8 Speech" is set "on". Any suggestions to getting this to work?

You will need to customize your Call log settings to show which area code your located in so it will redial from the log properly. To do so, push Menu, then scroll to system settings, push select, then scroll to Area Codes, push select and specify the area code that you are in. If you need additional assistance, go to the link below which is the full manual on PDF, then go to page 48. Hope that helps. http://www.barclayent.com/manuals/Gigaset%202420%20Plus_guide.pdf
