When I use headphones with my PSP 3000 sound only comes through the left side. I have tried four different headphones and they are all the same. I've tried adjusting the system sound settings but there doesn't seem to be anything there that would be relevant.

Psp 3000 sounds not good in earphone

The PSP 3000 model lowered the wattage to the headphone 3.5mm jack out to reduce battery drainage. The headphones you have are drawing to much power (buds or not).

Another thing that could be affecting your quality is the connection inside the port could be dusty. I would suggest taking a que-tip and adding a little windex to it and polish out the port then try your luck.

If that doesnt work swap out head-phones

I got a psp 3000 and I just downloaded music on it and when I plugged in my headphones and play it all I can hear is the music and hardly the singer. How do I fix this?

Try a different set of headphones. It's possible that the headphones have a short and you're only getting sound out of one ear. If it's still doing it with another set of headphones, then it's either a bad headphone connector or the music files are corrupted or not recorded properly.

Headphones only have left channel on Denon AVR-588 Receiver

Hi peroty,

Two suggestions for you.

1. If you look at the headphone jack connecton do you see one or two black O-rings or black lines on the jack. If you only see one they are Mono headphones and you would only get sound out of the left side. If there are two black lines they are stereo headphones and you should get sound on both the left & right sides.

2. If after checking the headphone jack connection and there are two black lines on it then I would suggest try a different pair of headphones to see if a different set of headphones works fine.

If a different pair of headphones works properly the original headphones may be bad. If neither set of headphones work properly it may be the reciever that may need to be repaired.

I hope it's not the receiver, but let me know if you have questions.

Sound Issues w/ PSP-1000

Your headphone jack is probably damaged and needs replacement. Here is one I found on the net: Repair your broken "Hands Free" socket, soldering required. This item is also available pre-mounted to the board, ready to plug in. Free shipping.
