How to change tab and menu language to english. It displays in french of course english letters. I share this with my french class mate. he also dont know how to change it. pls could you help

he Microsoft Windows operating system comes with several options, and one of those options is setting the operating system's language. Changing the language switches all dialog box statements from one language to the chosen language. This is accomplished in the Windows configuration system settings. You can change Windows to display most common languages including a change from French to English.
Click the Windows "Start" Orb in the task bar. In the pop-up menu, click "Control Panel." This opens a new window.
Click "Clock, Language, and Region" in the Control Panel. Click "Regional and Language Options" to open a new configuration window.
Click the "Keyboards and Languages" tab. In the drop-down box, select "English" as the display language. Click "OK" to save your changes.

Are the tabs at the top of the screen in English or French? According to the manual, you should be able to change the language from the Set tab. If these are in French, that will be the second tab from the right. Touch the More (Plus) button, on the left above the Fabric information, to scroll through the Set menu screens. You need the line for Language (Langue, which is on the second screen, just above the More and OK buttons. Press the Next button to the right of this line to scroll through the available languages. Press the OK button (on the right next to the More button) to save the selection.

(I'm not completely certain of the French that will be on each line. The Language line might read as la langue. Set could be parametres or reglage.)

the os determines the language not the keyboard

Please press Menu button on tv remote to pull up menu then go to Setting menu and change Language settings as per desire.

Go into Control Panel, select Region and Language, choose a display language by installing English first.
You may need your Windows Installation Disc!

To change the language view in Gmail:

1) Sign in to Gmail. 2) Click Settings at the top of any Gmail page. 3) Select a language from the Gmail display language: drop-down menu in the Language: section. 4) Click Save Changes.
The Gmail interface will appear in the language of your choice after you click Save Changes. Remember, your Gmail's display language doesn't affect the language in which your messages are sent and received.

Open Regional and Language Options by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking Clock, Language, and Region and then clicking Regional and Language Options.
Click the Keyboards and Languages tab.
Under Display language, choose a language from the list, and then click OK.
Obviously you'll have to work out the French equivalents of the options but should be fairly obvious

Click the Keyboards and Languages tab.

Under Display language, choose a language from the list, and then click OK.

(If you don't see the list of display languages, you need to install additional language files first. You do this from the Vista Install CD.)

There are three areas you can (or cannot) set languages.
1. Operating system (Windows most probably) Unfortunatelly you cannot change the operating system language. (Except Vista Ultimate and Vista Enterprise edition and having the right MUI)
Other windows languages are not changeable without re-installing the current op.sys. and of course you have to have the right language based op. sys. on cd or on dvd.
2. BIOS language change: It can be change if the BIOS flashable and the BIOS provider released the required version in your language. (Mostly default language is english) Some BIOS can be set to other language without flashing it. Look in the BIOS menu first. It's not easy to find if its set to another language but try every sub menu than you will find it.
3. The regional and keyboard settings. Its a basic setup in the control panel--->Regional and Language (GLOBE ICON) ---> firs and second tab you have to choose the desired language.

Open the imate 9502, then click on windows which is the start menu, go to settings, click on the system tab, then click on Multilingual Support (its an icon which has an arabic letter on it), click the third tab which is control and below the check box their are two bars click on the first bar and choose english with arabic support. then exit to the main screen. And close the phone and re-open it again and everything will turn out to be in english. enjoy.
