Hello THere. What numbers do you need? If you are trying to connect your new computer to the router via wireless then you need to get the wireless settings of your router such as the Network name and encryption(if any).

In your Linksys router, you may try to access the setup page by using the default IP, http://192.168.1.1 , Type in admin on the password, leave the username blank.

GO to the wireless tab to check your settings.

Hope this helps or you may post more clarifications for your problem.

Have a problem connecting a new computer to your network? This is kinda easy to do, first find a computer thats already connected to the network, then go to the settings of the network and write down all the information about the network like the wep key, dns server, and even the ip address. Then go the the new computer and go to the settings and fill in everything you wrote down, UNTIL the ip address, this is where it get a little confusing. write down the copied ip address but change the very last number to one number higher that it for example: connected computer ip address: 192.180.1.900* Then here is the ip address you will place on the new computer: 192.180.1.901* then your computer should connect.*=made up number do not use it

Can i connect new pc to old connection

You simply need to disconnect old computer from the network and connect the new one.
Are you trying to connect wired computer or wireless?

If you are trying to connect a wired computer then you don't need to do anything.
Just take out the Ethernet cable from the old computer and connect it to the new computer.

If you are connecting a wireless computer to the network then make sure that you have all the settings of your wireless router.
If your wireless network is secured then you should know the correct network key.
What is the operating system on your computer?

I will suggest you a website " The Router Setup " which may help you connect your new computer to the old wireless network.

Hi,
although I don't support IP Pirates(if they can afford not to be). there is one trick that may help but not if the security on the router is strong as they can set it to only hand out 1 number. However if you know the IP(192.168.0.2) that is being handed out. then you can manually set the wireless adapter on the second system to have an IP that is +1(192.168.0.3) (instead of a DHCP setting)of the number you are given. make sure the gateway and subnet mask is exactly as is handed out to the first system.
you can easily view this info. from a command prompt and typing:ipconfig /all

hope this helps

I am trying to put a c6380 printer into a wireless network, but it requires a WPA value, what would this value be, and where can I find it?

The WPA is the password you used to set up your router, typically a number or word or combination of the two. It will be the same that your computer uses to get on the wireless. If you don't remember what it is you'll have to reset your router and start again setting it up for both the computers and the printer. Make sure to write the new password down so you don't forget it. Best to write it on a piece of tape and put it on the router itself :)

I have recent6ly had to have a new router and since then the Lexmark X6570 printer we have won't work,I have concluded that the ip address needs changing to the current one but don't know how to do...

- Press pattlnk_5182007_1524-left_new.jpg to display Settings
- Press pattlnk_5152007_204-checkmark_alone.jpg to display Network Setup
- Press pattlnk_5182007_1529-right_arrow.jpg to display Network Setup
- Press pattlnk_5152007_204-checkmark_alone.jpg to display Wireless Setup
- Press pattlnk_5182007_1529-right_arrow.jpg twice to display Wireless Setup
- Press pattlnk_5152007_204-checkmark_alone.jpg to display the scrolling message This will reset all wireless network adapter settings. Are you sure?.
- Press pattlnk_5182007_1524-left_new.jpg or pattlnk_5182007_1529-right_arrow.jpg to change the value from No to Yes, and press pattlnk_5152007_204-checkmark_alone.jpg.

The WiFi light on the printer will momentarily turn off. When it lights up solid orange, launch the Lexmark Wireless Setup Utility on your computer by inserting your installation cd or executing the Lexmark X6570 driver. Follow the instructions on your computer screen.

I have two new windows 7 sistems on my network, and I can't acces them throught my existing network. I don't have anymore the instalation CD. Thank you in advance. Aurelian

hi..
to configure a computer network in Win7 does not require a cd. you only need to set your network to a home network or networks.
(open network and sharing center and then in view of the active network and then set it to one of the networks above)
the last step once you set your network key number will be provided, a number that you will use and put into another computer that you want to share on the network)
repeat the same steps on another computer and enter the key number you get on the first computer that you set earlier

We tried to add another computer to our network and in doing so we inserted the pin number to our router for the ssid and our network dropped everything. Now neither one of us can get on line.

You can change the wireless network set up on the computer's network card to reflect the new SSID, or go into the router's setup page by connecting a network cable between a computer and the router. You might have to remove or disable the wireless card on that computer first.

To do the first suggestion, start the Windows Wireless Network Configuration program - or the one included with and used to set up the card initially. Look for the SSID setting and make the changes needed to reflect the current SSID used.

To do the second, connect a computer to the one of router's LAN ports (or use one that is already connected). Access the router's "setup page" by opening IE or whatever browser you use and enter the IP address of the router. This is usually 192.168.0.1, 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.2.1. Do not put "www" in front of the numbers.. just the numbers and decimal points is needed (if it comes up "http://192.168.0.1" that's ok). Supply the username and password and look for Wireless Settings and change the SSID to what the computers are expecting to see.

If you can't do any of these steps, dues to lost passwords, etc. a factory reset will be needed to performed. Follow instructions included with the router as done when new.

Good luck!
