Hello
Which GE models' user manual you need? Is it for 106622F or 169203 ? In your problem post there are two model number s pecified. That is why I ask you this. Please clarify by FixYa comment box. If you are in need for the manual to GE 169203; I've it with me. it is in Adobe PDF format, and I can't send it to you by this window as you know. If so, send your email address to me by FixYa comment box. I'll send a copy of it to you by return mail. OK.
Burnett...I just received an email from Wal Mart regarding this very processor. (I own one too) It has been recalled, and if you return it to Wal Mart you can get a full refund. BTW: the email says it can lacerate you and it can smoke and catch fire.
Yes, I have the same problem. I called GE/Walmart division, and the model is discontinued. They are sold out of the lids and bowls. So, I guess we need new food processors!!
The lid-lip on my small Braun processor broke too, damn things can't handle being accidentally dropped by a fumble-fingered me!
I still manage to work it, I just need to manually hold the broken bit in place (so the safety mechanism lets the motor start), or just use another long thin doodah, like a wooden kabob skewer, to depress the lever. Not elegant, and it means you have to use both hands at the same time (one to activate the pulse button, the other to hold the skewer in place), but it works.
Anyone had any luck supergluing the broken bit back on?
