There is no pilot light on this model. An 11 error code tells us that there is no gas supply to the heater. Could be a bad gas valve, dirty igniter, gas got shut off somehow, dirty burner, etc... All you can do is make sure the filter is clean, a technician will need to open it up. Sorry.

Furnace quits with 4 blinking lights on panel

Most likely it's a sensor triggering the unit off. You need to have someone determine which lights are blinking (there is a code to them) and then find out what the code refers to. Could be a simple as dirty filters.

When i unplug my rinnai heater does that turn off the pilot light?

If it's a Vent-free (Vent-less) heater, not it does not turn OFF the pilot light. If it is a Vented Heater, yes unplugging the heater will turn the pilot light OFF. If you want to turn the pilot off on either unit, the best way to do it is with the Gas Valve, Pilot Control Knob. Turn the knob from the ON position counterclockwise to the OFF position and the pilot flame will go out.

Hope this helped you.

We have a gas wall heater product number 4690011 and we do not know how to start it;

Remember if you smell gas, turn unit manual gas valve off and open a near by window, wait until smell is gone then proceed with these directions,turn manual gas valve back on, turn thermostat down.1.) turn combination gas valve knob to the pilot position and press down knob, if unit has a striker button, push striker while holding down knob until pilot lights, keep knob held down in the pilot position for 20 seconds then let up on knob and turn to the on position, turn thermostat up, main burners should light.

Control in lockout

Unplug the water heater. wait a few minutes.
While you wait, if you have the manual check it for something called error codes if not don't worry.
plug the water heater back in for normal operation. Let it cycle and try to light. When it fails to light you shuld see a the lights on the control blinking in a distinct pattern, or depending on the unit, some other type displyed error code. look for this code in your manual. If it is not in the manuel or you don't have it you will have to call the manufactuers techinal support for the explanation of the code and a possible solution make sure you have the serial and model numbers. Or look for the installation manual online. Or come back here and post your findings with all relevant info as to make, model, year etc.
Please keep in mind that a lot of things can cause this to happen. Like, for instance, many newer water heaters have a moisture sensor somewhere near the bottom that will lock it out if moisture is detected. This usaualy requires a code to be entered into the control box to re-set the unit. This is just one example.

Pilot light starts, but gas does not ignite.

IF no gas comes and the piolet is lit then the gas valve is stuck. You can purchase a seperate gas valve and replace it. If it is cost justified ,you will have to determine. As far as I know, one  cannot disassemble and repair the gas valve as you cannot purchase the parts for it.

Gas wall heater won't light

You need to bled the line longer and when you get lited hold down for a good minute.When the gas gave out ,there could trash in the line.I would take the line off and blow gas through it undtil you can smell it.
