Since installing a windows update i cannot access the internet

I would do a system restore to before the Windows update. When windows update it creates a restore point. This should fix the issue. Sometimes updates don't install correctly. Usually on second install it will install correctly.

Install Windows Updates first.

Click Start
Click Control Panel
Click System
Click Hardware
Click Device Manager
Double-click the audio-device
Click 'install" or "update" or "re-install"
Allow Windows to access the Internet to do a search for an updated device-driver.

Try to access an anti virus online scanner then try to access windows update if you are unable to access these sites you have Win32.Worm.Downadup.Gen. 1. click on start and select control panel
2. Double click on windows update
3. If you have the lower version of Internet explorer from internet explorer 8 then it will automatically show and ask for update.

I believe you may need ti install the .net framework

Try opening internet explorer

Click Tools in the menu bar (top of the windows)
If you cannot see tools tap the <alt> key
bottom left of your keyboard

Click Tools --> Windows Update

Choose express and see if an update for .net shows

then click review and install
click install

If .net framework does not show try the update again but choose custom

one the left click optional updates
