Bill have them replace the batteries. They are under warranty for 6 months and the provider is responsible for providing free replacement batteries under warranty. If they won't contact the manufacturer of the chair and explain your problem (that the provider will not replace bad batteries) they should require the provider to give you new batteries or send some to you. Make sure that you charge the new batteries before use and that you charge them nightly for 20 days If you use the scooter daily charge it every nite when you go to bed and unplug it in the morning hen you get up. Remember to have the power off to the charger whenever you plug or unplug it from the scooter. if the charger is an onboard one then just plug it into the wall and unplug when charged Hope this helps
SOURCE: battery charger wont switch over to charge on a sonic scooter
The Sonic has an off board charger. IF the scooter is not charging, you may need to replace it. If you a technically inclined, you can measure the voltage out of the charger, it should be more than 28 V. You may need to contact Pride for more help.

check the wiring from the batteries as a wire could have come loose.

SOURCE: battery won't hold a charge
More than likely duff batteries. Will it hold its charge if the batteries are taken off the scooter (i.e. remove the battery pack)? If so, it could be a short somewhere in the wiring of the scooter although I would have to say that this would be unlikely.
