Go to Start>Control Panel>Printers and faxes
double click on your printer
You will get a little window that says at the top use printer offline
Choose print at the top menu and then in the pull down menu choose cancel all documents.

That should work. If it does not, then try resetting your printer by unplugging it at the back and leaving it off for a while, then reattach cords and see what you have then.

I hope this helps.

When you go to the printers folder, does it show more than one printer?

Hp CUE Status Root has stopped working ERROR

You should try using Windows Restore. Restore the computer back to when it worked correctly. Then try downloading the latest software for your scanner, etc. from the appropriate websites. i.e. support.hp.com

etc...

That's probably the easiest way to do it.

Hp CUE Status Root has stopped working ERROR

i had this prob. the "hp cue root " error isnt a hp thing, its a microsoft thing. i beleive it was caused by installing a older model printer AFTER installing a newer model. (i had a hp 2500 series, then installed drivers for a hp 1400 series)
just go to control panel, then "programs and features" , then uninstall everything that is assoiated with the printer your no longer using. just deleating the older printer from the "printers" folder won't do it. (this is assuming that you dont need both printers)
I havent gotten the error message since i did this. besides, its a good rule of thumb to not have drivers that you dont need on your machine anyways.
hope it helps

HP Pavillion a1220n stopped printing

Most companies don't offer driver support for XP anymore, it's 2017, time to upgrade to atleast Windows 7 now.
