The first thing to do is to give it a good long charge, overnight for preference. That may help, but the problem with the batteries used in these units is that they only have a life of two to three years, and that includes sitting unused. I did look on eBay and there appear to be replacement batteries for the YP-T10 available and fitting a new battery may get the player working.
if you keep in in a jar of white rice it'll **** up all the water, and then about 2 days later, just to make sure all the water is gone, but it in the freezer. muy friend did that and it started working again. my k5 is doing that and 'm about to pop my baby into the freezer in a few minutes.
have you tried updating the firmware? Go to Samsung.com support > download center > type
in the model number (yp-k5jab) click on firmware, and download the
version that corresponds with your device. install the firmware updater
on your computer, plug in your device. and flash the firmware. (this
will erase ALL songs and settings so you will want to back those up
first). After that its like brand new. Keep the updater handy, since this might crop up again.
