Laptop C partition low disk space

1st run disk cleanup. Then compress you C-drive this will compress all your file freeing up space. Then download CCleaner and run that. Finally, run disk defrag. But you should also erase stuff you do not need.

Dx4400 boots to gateway logo and stays there for a long time

what windows do you have? what anti-virus? then check your
system tools program in Start/Accessories/, run Disk Cleanup
after system up. wait till finished then run Disk Fragmentor. If you
have a anti-malware program or anitvirus program run thoughs one after the other, cleanup first.
You may need to clean up your registry too. Make sure you have not downloaded any third party PC Cleaners, or programs which claim to keep pc running fast. these are usually bad and hog system resources. After doing what i have suggested, download CCleaner from Cnet.downloads web site. do a search to find it. after downloading CCleaner(free version), run the two top jobs on left of box. 1) Cleaner(broom icon), then after finished 2) Registry(stacked boxes icon). if 2) asks you if you want to save backup, say 'NO'. this will clean your harddrive of garbage and clean the PCs registry. These things can really slow you down.
Please DO NOT run anything else in CCLEANER. Only experienced computer users should change or runs any other program in it. Much harm could be done if YOU DO. Hope this helps.

Printer is not printing, changed both ink carts, sounds like its printing paper comes out but its blank

If your printer cartridges are only ink tanks, (usually when print cartridges are cheaper than $30 each) i.e the print heads are separate, then you're looking at clogged print heads. In this case you'll need to run a Print Heads Cleanup procedure from your printer's control program. This option is usually in Maintenence or Printer Settings menu, depending on the brand and model of your printer.
If this doesn't help, then remove the print heads and use an alcohol-based or nail polish removing solvent mixed with some watter (50-50 mix would do just fine) and drip some of the mixture onto the location where you hook up the print cartridges. Usually there's either a hole or a permanent marker-type "finger" that goes into the ink tank that serves as a pipe to draw out ink from the tank onto the print heads. You should let the watter-based mixture to work its way through the nozzles, this should take about 15 minutes up to an hour, depending on how long the clog was there and the severity of the clog.
If this doesn't help then you may need to replace the print heads, which may not prove the best option since new inkjet printers are relatively cheap these days.

System is working very slow .

Some reasons why computers are running very slow due to:
1. Limited capacity left on the hard disk. Meaning your hard disk is near to be full
2. Possibly you are infected with malwares. It is a must that you should install antivirus for your PC protection.
3.Too much software installed but they might not be run for a long period of time that will affect the performance of your PC, uninstalling softwares that you are not using may utelize your machine running time.

Some helpful tips to maintain your PC.
1. Delete temporary files, internet history files
2. Always empty your recycle bin
3. Perform disk cleanup,click start,programs,accessories,ssytem tools,disk cleanup
4. Disable unnecessary programs during start up. Click start menu, click Run.type msconfig, from the dialog box click startup then uncheck those programs that are not necessary to run during boot process. Click Services button, uncheck the softwares previously been deleted from the control panel
5. Select general tab, click normal start up
6. save ans restart for the changes to take effect

Home page is slow to come up, and computer is slow when changing programs.

There are lots of things you can do to help your computer to run faster. 1. Use the tools in Internet explorer to clear out your temporary internet files. 2. Use Disk Cleanup in system tools to clear old files. 3. Go to control panel, add/remove programs and uninstall any programs you no longer use or want. 4. Download a free registry scanner and run it regularly. 5. Run the Disk Defragmenter in system tools from time to time. 6.(For advanced users) Use the msconfig program to remove unwanted startup programs. I hope that these things help you.

Keyboard not responding.

Your problem sounds more like the system running slow rather than the keyboard being the issue.
Do routine maintenance and cleanup on your system to see if it helps it.

To start the Disk Cleanup tool and specify the hard disk to clean by using a command line, use the following steps:
  1. Click Start, and then click Run.
  2. In the Open box, type the following line and then press ENTER
    cleanmgr
  3. click OK
  4. The dialog box that opens shows you the files it will remove to clean up the system
  5. Make sure Temporary files is checked
  6. Click OK
Then check your system for malicious software.
  1. Go to http://malwarebytes.org
  2. Download and scan the system
  3. Remove all found infections.
  4. Restart your system
These things should help if this is the cause.
If your problem still is present, change the battery in the keyboard. A battery that is close to empty will cause this as well.

Let me know if this resolves your issue.

My partitioned Vaio harddrive is almost full - less than 3% space in C:/ and slightly more in D:/. I run cleanup and defrag utilities at least once a week and have uninstalled several programs as well as...

Go to my computer, C drive and D drive will appear. Put curser over C drive and press right finger on mouse. Menue will pop up select properties at bottom. View of drive will appear. In middle disk clean up. Select disk cleanup and run. The other area is at bottom of properties menue, Index or compress. This might squezz more space by compressing data.
