There are two possible solutions to this issue:
1. The headset needs to be reset.
2. The headset is defective and should be replaced.
To reset the headset, use a straightened paperclip to push the reset button on the inside of the headset, below the earhook. See the pic:
You may need to hold the reset button for a few seconds. Then replace the headset into the cradle. You should see normal behavior again.
If this doesn't work. you will need to replace the headset.

I have had this happen a few times now. The first time it was sent back as defective and replaced. The Second time i left it off the charger all weekend and put back on on Monday and that seemed to do the trick.
