I install windows 7 operating system on my hp dv1000 pavilion notebook but some drivers are missing like sound drivers and audio driver, unknown device driver, base one system driver and webcam driver. pls i need urgent assitance thanks

I'd suggest you to DOWNLOAD and to INSTALL a nice software that will help you to identify and to find the missing/corrupt drivers on your machine.
The software I'm talking about is called DRIVER MAGICIAN Lite and you may have it from HERE. Once installed on your computer just perform a scan/check and you will find out what drivers do you have to get and where from.
Another great tool is DRIVERS TOOL and you can have it from HERE [choose SAVE FILE to download it and after that double click on the saved file to install it...].

When first time you purchased your notebook your manufacturer gives you resource disk in which there are drivers for different operating system.From that disk install the drivers for your windows 7.

If your manufacturer disk doesn't have those drivers go to your manufacturer's website or from other website like drivercollection.com

Welcome to Fixya. If you will check the support website of HP the model DV1000 dont have available drivers for windows 7 system. However you can try to use the driver of Windows Vista if it will works. DV1000 was released before the Windows 7 OS that's why the driver is not available.
