Got a code c-81 then dvd player won't do anything. Help
Kid's were watching a dvd, then got sony screen, then went black.
We couldn't get it to open to take disc out or anything, then we got a c-81 code on dvd player.
I have no c-81 self-diagnosis function code for that one.
Any idea's what to do. Our system isn't that old.
Was working fine before this dvd.

A bizarre coincidence but our Sony DVD player DAV C700 did exactly the same when the kids were watching a DVD. All other functions on the system are still working but the DVD player wll not eject or play - and the self diagnosis function C 81 remains illuminated on the display.

Line In means you can hook any other video source with this player to watch it on its screen. There is switch at side of player, turn it to other side to watch dvd picture in this player. Hope this info will help you. Thanks.
Hi, have you tried this? It worked on my LG player. 1. Open DVD tray 2. Press "0000" on the remote. 3. A screen will appear saying NEW REGION CODE displaying the current one. 4. Press "0" for all zones. 5. Press the "select" button on the remote. 6. Close the CD tray. 7. Power off

The device is an Toshiba 2SA1213Y (PNP transistor 1$)
Replace and your DVD works!
