Sansui COM311ADA We're just trying to figure out if we will need an analog-to-digital antenna converter for this TV. We use it in a travel trailer--if it needs one, are there 12-volt converters out there?

Short answer, analog probably not possible.
Maybe if you get a digital antenna and you have stations in your area.

To use this TV with a digital signal you need a digital to analog converter. Here is a link for a converter and one for the TV user manual.

There is no difference between a "digital" and analog antenna. Either antenna will capture the signal. What you need is a digital converter box to convert the over air digital signal to the older analog type signal your TV needs. You connect the antenna to the digital converter box, and the digital converter box to the TV.
Several years ago, the US government forced peopel to buy digital converter boxes or newer TVs that could pick up the digital signal. Either get a digital converter box or a new TV.

You have an analog TV, meaning that the tuner in your TV is analog only. You must buy a digital converter to see broadcast Digital TV via your external antenna and it will be attached to the antenna input jack or other jack depending on how it comes out of the converter.

One bit of advice, there is no such thing as a "digital" antenna, they are all analog. Even a 50 year old, outside antenna aerial that you see out in the countryside will pick up the new Digital Broadcasts to be converted by a Digital Converter and displayed on a 50 year old TV.

Looking at the manual, the specifications indicate that this is an NTSC TV. You would need an ATSC tuner (a digital converter box) to convert the digital signals into the analog ones that this TV can receive. You may also need an antenna designed for DTV signals to get a good reception.

You need a TV antenna, nothing special about it. Hook the antenna up to the converter box, the box up to the TV.

It needs an analogue to digital converter to see digital channels. The TV haven't a converter or a a digital tuner inside it.
