Hi there!

it may have damaged the feed mechanism, this usually happens when theres a paper jam and we just pull it out. try powercycling the printer (unpug power cord from the printer and from the wall outlet too) leave it for 2mins, plug it back in to the printer first then to the wall outlet. if that dont work, ive posted the link for that printer here, check out the manuals and troubleshooting steps too, they're all for free. you can also contact 800-HP invent or 800-474-6836.

Did you check for a Paper jam? Even a little bit of paper can cause a jam and that is normally what your problem refers to.... using too thick of paper can cause this kind of error as well

Printer keeps displaying paper jam but there is no paper present in any part of the mechanism.

Hi
Quite a few HP printers use the same error message for paper jams and ink cartridges not being seated properly. The link below is to your User's manual,it should help you find where even a small torn corner of paper can jam your printer as well as how to check your ink cartridges.
Post back with any questions, and if this helps would you please rate my post?
Thanks

Just install a new black ink cartridge on my hp psc 1510 all-in-one printer and receive the following error messages. Firstly (incorrect ink Cartridge on the right) after restarting the printer, I now...

HP are notorious for this sort of error reporting, not very helpful at all.

On your first point; Is the cartridge an original HP cartridge? If it is then remove it and re insert it pushing it home firmly. If not then either get a cartridge from a reputable clone supplier or use a genuine HP one.

Next point; Inspect the paper route minutely for debris and identify and clean the paper switch, which is a tiny micro-switch and can become jammed closed just with paper dust.

clean the rubber rollers of the printer and try to print. if it is still having the same problem. reset the printer by unplugging the power cord of the printer while its turn on. then plug the power cord back in. once the printer is on press and hold the power/on button and the size button. when the on button is flashing then release the buttons and try to print again

Paper jams

hi,
follow these steps:-
  1. Turn off the printer.
  2. Inspect the location or tray the printed paper ejects to. If the stuck paper is visible manually remove it.*
  3. Remove all paper trays and any paper that may be stuck between the tray and the printer. If the stuck paper is visible manually remove it.*
  4. Open the printer door that allows you access to the printer ink cartridges or toner and look for any stuck paper. If the stuck paper is visible manually remove it.*
  5. Turn the printer back on. If you continue to receive a printer jam error try repeating the above steps again. If issue still persist and you see no paper that is stuck in the printer it's likely your printer is experiencing another hardware issue and i suggest contacting theprinter manufacturerfor additional assistance and/or repair.
Thanks!

HP 1350 Says theres a paper jam and won't clear. All lights on.

Try unplugging the printer from power, (Turned off of course) Wait 5 minutes, plug the printer back in. Now open the case like you're going to clear a paper jam, or change ink cartridges. Close the case. Press the Power On button of the printer.

How to Clear carriage jam on HP PSC 1610 Printer? No obvious paper jam visible.

Dear it's the carriage jam error. so it mean that your carriage is jam not paper. so open the printer where you insert the cartridge. check whether it is jam or what . cartridge carrier is jam kindly turn off the printer and try to move the cartridge head by hand very gently and if seems to be stuck than check for anything which abort him to move freely so than might be anything like dust or else. when you get success in moving the head put some machine lubricant on the rod on which head moves and check it ok.
