I am using Plustek M12 Scanner in the last 2 days I scan & click finish & nothing happens. I cannot open Digiscan to see if anything is saved.

Try to install with Win 7 Drivers.

Hi!

First you need to download the drivers for your scanner.
Here's a download link for you. Please copy it into your browser's addres bar:

In order to find your M12 please use the first option on the site and type M12 into the search box.
Choose your exact model from the 3 (M12, M12 corporate or M12 Plus).
Only the first and the third have drivers for Windows 7.
After choosing the model, you will get acces to download the driver (OpticSlimM12V4301_12L.zip for M12 or OpticSlimM12V4302World.zip for M12 Plus).
Please download and unzip the driver.
Then please run the INSTALL.exe and follow all the steps suggested by the installer.
If it requires a restart please do so.

Disconnect the scanner from your computer and go to Plustek's website (http://plustek.com/)
Download the driver that matches the scanner model and the version of Windows you are using.
Double click on the driver file you downloaded and connect the scanner when prompted or when the driver finishes installing.

scan using Scanner and Camera Wizard

1.From "My Computer" right click the appropriate Brother FAX, MFC or DCP machine.
2.Select Get picture using Scanner Wizard.

3.Click "Next" at the welcome screen.

4.Select the save options that you require and click "Next".

5.The Wizard will now start to scan using the settings you specified.

6. Select the "Nothing. I'm finished working with these pictures" and click "Next".
The images will then be saved to the the location that you specified in step 4.

later you can attach the scanned file to your outlook express.

plz check the manufacture website for the drivers

In the Twain driver for your intellscan, there should be a selection for the type of scan. It should be set to "black & White Negative" or "Color Negative". The program you use to edit the scanned file should be able to change it to a positive if the scanned result is still negative. Programs such as Photoshop, Paint shop Pro etc can use Twain to have the scanner scan directly into them. There the phot (negative) can be edited and saved.

no the problem is check the path u mentioned in the scanner preferences and settings i mean the folder mentioned to store the scanned images after the scan , scanner is given a path to store these images by default check and change that path to other location on hard drive and everything will be ok if the problem persists then update ur driver from plustek website

Various things[as usual] can affect the performance of a USB device, so check these out. 1.Too many USB device hooked up drawing power from the system - So if it is not in use -unplug it. 2. The driver and or software for the device has corrupted.- Re install 3.Too many programs of a similar nature [graphics in this case] running and confusing resources.- shut down those not in immediate use. Do check the Plustek website for the latest driver[s] A Golden Rule for clean and simple computing is if you are not using it - shut it down. Come back with this one let us all know how it goes.
