Why cant i download the sound card for my pc

This model Acer laptop, was sold with XP operating system, I believe.

If, so and you have not upgraded to Windows 7, then you can go to the link below to copy and paste into your web browser for the Acer support page for the Acer model TravelMate 4020 series laptop audio driver. If you do not XP, Acer does not support other operating system at this time.

Good Luck

My PC cannot produce sounds

Your missing the driver, You need to find out what manufacturer made your sound card or on-board audio processor, you can often do this by looking at the manufacturer's information on your model computer. They also usually have a menu for downloading the drivers. Make sure your using the drivers for your appropriate Operating system, " XP/Vista/7 " and that the driver is for your exact model computer.

Having trouble with HP ..Windows XP

I suggest that :
  1. Press F8, choose command line (if you know) and backup any file that you need (copy to an external drive, pen drive, cd or other medium). Please skip this step if you allready have updated backups.
  2. you restore the windows XP with the original cd / dvd, and choose format disk.
  3. remove the cd / dvd when asked for reboot
  4. Restore your data files and update the operation system with Microsoft update.
Hope that helps. Please inform what hp model you have for further help.

Cheers,

AUDIO DRIVER FOR XP CANT FIND

First, consult your Owners manual for the specs for your Computer. If you can not find them there, refer to the companies website. Generally, they have the proper driver for your computer there. You will need the Brand, and Model of your computer.

HP DESKTOP COMPUTER #SR1365CL

Sorry to inform you but you cant downgrade from vista to xp on this model I have found most systems that are designed to run vista lose several drivers when downgraded to xp.

the only solution that will restore drivers would be to reload vista by purchasing an upgrade version of vista (this allows an upgrade from xp to vista and will restore drivers only catch is your xp operating system must be xp home with sp2(service pack 2).

When you removed vista from your machine you actually downgraded by replacing the vista operating system with XP.
