Question about Rock & Ice Climbing

Open Question

I took the bolt out of my browning A Bolt 22 Magnum rifle to clean the rifle. I accidently dropped the bolt and now I'm afraid the bolt is in a different condition (i.e., closed) and I can not seem to get the bolt back in to the reciever. I have tried to return the bolt to the reciever with the safety on and off. I also know about the left side of the reciever and the bolt release latch (for lack of the prop[er term) Thanks! Bruce Thanks!

SOURCE: remove bolt from 513 s remington rifle action

Point muzzle in safe direction.
Make sure it is unloaded chamber and clip !
Push safety off ( forward )
Pull trigger and pull bolt out at the same time.
Or sell to me ( have FFL ) just sold a 513 T that was to heavy for a old man.

Gunparts.com has the mags, the scope parts, I don't know, you would have better luck finding an old scope for the parts.

Can a regular 22 rifle shoot 22 magnum bullets?

Sadly no as most magnums are approx 3/8th inch longer than lr. Also mags could ruin the rifling.

Rifles will often have cycling problems if not properly cleaned on a regular basis. I have attached a link to a browning a bolt rifle it will show you how to remove the bolt for proper cleaning.

How to load and clean and ammunition size for a mossberg 146b 22 s lr.

OK, your rifle is a bolt action 22. I can't find the146 but I have a 144 here. You clean the bore with a small rod and patch with solvent on it, run down clean patches till they come out clean, wipe down the metal parts with solvent, then wipe down everything with a patch lightly soaked in oil, run the oil patch threw the bore. Your ammo is .22 LR, If you have a magazine in the bottom of the gun, fill it up and pop it back in the rifle, if it is a tube magazine, pull out the tube, fill her up and close it up. Pull the bolt back, release the safety, and keep it safe. @22s are powerful little bullets.......
