Xerox Phaser 7760/YDX Laser Printer Logo
Posted on May 16, 2017

My Xerox phaser 7760 printer is not able to print solid blue on glossy paper, it comes as lines of other colours which makes the print look very unprofessional. I only get this problem when printing on glossy paper, and the settings on both the printer and on the driver on the computer are correct and matching for the job we are doing. Do I have to clean the imaging unit? If so, how? It is also telling me that my "yellow" cartridge is near empty, but it has the most toner left of all of my cartridges.

SOURCE: Xerox phaser 7760 streaking

to fined out what the problem could be you need to open a word doc and sent a blank page to the printer. from this it will show where the problem is in the printer
if u still get streaking it couls be a faulty toner and it may not be the cyan toner either. i would give the fuser unit in the printer a check. if there marks on tthis unit i can cause this problem as well

This could possible be the magenta drum cartridge. also try cleaning the ROS assembly window below the drum cartridge.

SOURCE: Xerox phaser 7760 saying "non-phaser imaging unit"

There is a snippet on the Xerox website to solve imaging unit recognition problems, link below. http://www.support.xerox.com/support/phaser-7760/downloads/engb.html?operatingSystem=winxp&fileLanguage=en_GB Usually this problem only occurs if the NVRAM has been reset or the engine board has been replaced without backing up the NVRAM. You can download the snippet to your printer through Centreware or by downloading the 'File Downloader' utility from the same page above.
Hope this helps.

Xerox Phaser 7400, lines on solid colours

Are the streaks evident when printing actual images? I was told by an experienced Xerox service tech that those solid-fill test pages can be misleading -- mine does the same but prints photos beautifully. I suggest printing some full page photos, check for the streaks. You've already done just about all you can.

Xerox Phaser 7760. Set document to print as double sided, and it prints single sided. Printing from Mac. Drivers up to date. Any ideas?

There are a few solutions to this problem.
1. The 7760 does not duplex from the MPT 2. The 7760 will not duplex certain paper types eg. envelope, transparency, labels, thick card stock, special. If your paper type is set to any of these it will default to simplex printing. 3. Conflicts in driver settings will cause the printer to default to simplex printing. 4. From the machine settings, duplex can be enabled or disabled. (Though driver settings should override this).
Hope this helps.

Papaer empty

it first detects that no paper in the selected paper supply and it cause an error to your computer memory and printer memory so you must reset the job to clear the error on its memory to the two units.
