Ricoh scanner uses a email account to send the scan to email. That email account has the wrong password on Ricoh settings, probably someone changed the password and now needs to be updated. I hope it helps.
"When I scan a photo on my Pixma MP510 printer and select the "Attach to email " scan operation setting , how do I get the scanned photo attached to an email? "
All scanned photos are being saved to a folder in your computer named "MY DOCUMENTS" and "PICTURES". If you are using Microsoft Outlook as your email client then all you need to do is to right click the image then click send to email. Your Outlook will open automatically then type the email add of the recipient then hit send.
What model? If it has a touch screen do what it says: In "scanner mode" touch the "status" button on the screen..all scans show up with the status.Touch the appropriate scan, and touch "delete" (or cancel)
I'm confused. Are you saying that the programmed addresses don't work, but if you manually enter an address you can send? Was your Gmail ( or another Gmail) account formerly the account to which the machine's settings were associated? In order to use the scan to email, whatever settings have changed in your main email account, for example: username, password, SMTP & POP servers, etc, must be changed to match. I am prettty sure you may have some difficulty, however if your new host uses Email encryption (SSL) , because I don't think that machine is compatible, so you may have to (somehow) configure an extra email account within your Outlook, or whatever you use that does not require authentication.
Just open an email & address it as usuall, now, at the top of the email you will see an icon that looks like a peperclip, click on that, a box opens & you just navigate to the file using the browse button. When you click on the file it will show up in your email uner 'subject'. If you don't see a paperclip then look for the word 'insert', this will do the same thing. Good luck. If this helps you plz rate this 'fixya'. If you need further help leave a comment & I'll be happy to walk you through it. Thank you kindly.
