1) try to RESTORE to some point where the computer was working. 2) Update the BIOS +CHIPSET and RUN it. 2a) see if working. If NOT working go the step #3 3) update the USB driver from the supplier company. 4) updae the driver for keyboard +mouse , uninstall and reinstall. God bless you
Please uninstall any LGPS version present on your OS -
Then please proceed to clean boot.
-> Unplug any USB devices connected to the computer ( Less keyboard + mouse ) If you have a corded keyboard + mouse please use it rather than a cordless device.
-> Go to device manager
-> Delete all the USB HOST CONTROLLER -- All of them --
-> The host controller might reinstall them itslef, let the computer handle the reinstallation
-> If the computer does not reinstall the host controllers, trigger the detection using the DM function " Scan for new hardware " ( The computer with magnifier icon )
-> Once reinstalled, clean boot
-> Reinstall the software, plug the hardware when needed.
-> Should work.
If a device as been previously flagged with error, it will redetect the device without the flag, unless there is some serious issue with the hardware/OS
If the problem persist, swap computer and try, if it does not solve then contact customer service for replacement
Thanks and have a nice day
this motherboard have till windows xp support and u have install vista but still no issu u have to download new bios updat from asus site for this board and get new updat of bios and once format & reinstall vista os again
I think the first thing you should do is make all updates. I know that in some versions of the iBook G4, the trackpad does not work after installing OS X 10.4 (Tiger) before you do the updates. Update your OS X first. secondly, does the button work? Does the trackpad show up in the System Preferences menu? (under keyboard and mouse). It's very unlikely that the trackpad came unhooked unless someone has opened up your computer. If they have, there is a really good chance that they didn't plug it back in, because it's a hassle and easy to forget.
you have reinstall your os ,there is alredy a corrupted or missing files in your system,but before do that, you have first to change the Bios setup of the usb controller ,make it enable.then restart your pc.
If the BIOS it self is not opening means that it is not getting started,at the timing of power startup it just goes off with out showing anything the issue might be with the BIOS cell check that out otherwise there might be any issue with the BIOS than u have to consult with the vendor,
Now in second case where it is not working after the POST is done than might be the first boot sector has gone faulty you have to reinstall the OS.
ANd in if case it is giving a long beep before shutting down the issue might be with RAM check that out.
Inshort the issue might be with three things
1) BIOS cell (change the bios cell)
2) BIOS itself (consult vendor)
3) OS (Reinstall the OS)
4) RAM (Swap or change the RAM)
PLz do rate incase this info is important or giving u any benifit it helps us...
i have latitude c610 and same problem happens with me too. i think that happens when i finish my brakfat and without cleaning my hands start using the touch pad. what happens according to me is that small particles of food(eg bread/dust particles) stuck in the corners or the body wall where the touch pad ends and keeps pressing the touchpad, thus causing the mouse to move to one direction. when i clean the corners and sides of the touchpad, it starts working ok !!
