There should be an override switch - either you push it or toggle it - on the left side under the dashboard (next to your left leg) on the wall -- it is very small and kind of hidden. Put your key in the ignition and turn all the way up to cranking but do not crank. While it is there, push/toggle the override switch and while it is pushed, start the car. it will start
Per the DS1 manual the toggle switch under the deck is the SafeSense override switch. The override switch deactivates the SafeSense feature so that you may clear a paper jam. When the switch is in the override (left) position, the SafeSense yellow light will flash and the SafeSense feature will not function. Once the paper is cleared, reset the SafeSense override switch to the right position.
Most vehicle alarms require the key to be in the on position for the manual override to function. Turn the ignition on, press and release the switch ( if it is a push button) or, flip the switch from one position to the other, then back, if a toggle switch. Also, most alarms that have a toggle switch allow you to put the alarm in valet by turning the key on and flipping the switch to the opposite position.
on the jensens, there is a way to disable the parking brake without having to put a switch on the parking brake wire. the catch is that you will need the remote control to get into the service menu. follow these steps
1.turn the radio on and select the setup menu.
2. while in the setup menu, use the remote and press 5-4-3-2-1-0, this should access another service menu.
3. from there, you will see a brake override option.
4. and your done.. hope this helps
if for any reason yours doesnt offer this option. you can always put a switch on the ebrake wire of the screen.
1. use a 2 wire toggle and wire one side the ground and the other to the parking brake wire on the jensen. then do the pattern on the switch instead of using your ebrake.
There is no e-brake override code. You have to hardwire it to bypass the e-brake. Take the peach-colored wire and ground it to metal inside the dash. Put a toggle switch inline on the wire and mount it somewhere you can reach it. When you get the blue screen when starting a movie, open the switch for 3-5 seconds, then close it again to reapply the ground. Your movie will start up, and you can then drive away with it playing.
