I am so disappointed with the Delstar MP3 player, I am going to contact the NC Attorney General's office and file a formal complaint. It seems to me from all the responses that the frozen "starting..." screen is a chronic problem for this company's product.

Make sure it has a new - good battery in it. Make sure the "lock" is off. Make sure you press the "play/pause" for like 3 seconds until it comes on. Simply pressing it quickly will not turn it on. If all of this doesn't work you may have a bad one.

Sansa wont turn on after improperly turning it off on a mac!

Yikes! I would reboot, or delete all files that I've imported onto my music player and start from scratch. To avoid this from happening again, make sure you manually "Eject" the hardware before plugging it out.

Hope this helps,

Wont start

Could be corrupt firmware.

Install and run Philips Device Manager from the product CD.

Select the Repair / Restore option.

Press and hold [VOL+] on the player whilst connecting to the PC, and follow the on-screen prompts.
