What is the hard drive for the 360 with just the letters HDD on it what GB

You'll have to work your way through the various options but using the device manager menus and options, you need to give your drive a name or letter incator.

Avoid A:, B:, C:, D:, E:, F:, or G: depending on how many HDD and Disk drives you have.

go to disk management and check drive letter has been automatically assigned to the external HDD. Rescan the drives may resolve your problem.

You don't really need a manual, it's simply a normal USB HDD you just plug it into a USB port. If OK, you will hear a "Bong Bong" and the OS will detect and install drivers, then the device will show up in My Computer, as a simple HDD, just use it as a normal drive.

no you shouldn't it has no warranty it has a tiny hard drive and the mod might destroy anything you put on it save your dollars and get the new pro package

get it format and then use Data doctor recovery software to get the data back....

First things first .....check for power cable and data cable and make sure they are not tampered or damaged now move to next step>>>
kindly remove all jumpers in HDD now go to
Control panel>Administrative tool>Computer management>Disk management
you can see the disk here and change settings accordingly like assigning path and drive letter if this does not work
then just see that is it recognized in device manager as unrecognized device then update driver for HDD even now if the problem persists

Toshiba (I) and then Game Drive (H)

Then on My Computer, Right click your mouse, then select to SORT IT by Name. This will make H before I.

Add a letter for this HDD in "control panel\performance and maintenance\administrator tools\computer manager=ment\disk management"

If you are using Windows you can go to My Computer, right mouseclick on the drive letter for this drive and select the format option. Hope this helps.

Simple you need to update your bios by downloading bios updates for you motherboard. Then it should recognise your HDD. The yellow triange just means your mboard does not have the necessary drivers to recognise the device. thanks
