Hi there follow the steps below.
Remove the printer data cable & restart the PC & printer. Then fit back the data cable & turn on the printer. Hope thats start working , if no luck then un install the printer driver & restart the PC & Printer both again. NOw install the driver of the printer and connect it with PC ,Turn on printer & go for a test print from the printer preference. Thanks & waiting for your reply.
You may need to download an updated driver from the Epson site.
Another ugly thought; if your printer has been off for a while, it may not print at all anymore.
The brand is great for hard use, lousy for only occasional use.
The ceramic printhead will clog and print no more.
If you have tried cleaning the nozzles from the maintance/utility on the printers driver then chances are you are having an issue on the printhead, probably clogged. Two things, have it serviced or call Epson for support at 562-276-1300.
Sorry but It uses Durabrite ink which tends to turn into hard gel if not printed
at least once a week. Its less painful and expensive to just
throw the printer out and buy a new one. I recommend the canon PIXMA
ip3500. It lets you remove the printhead for cleaning unlike the Epson.
If you want to try your luck at unclogging the printer heres a link to
a unclogging kit but be warned that results are not guaranteed!
The C82 in addition to clogging also has a problem where the waste ink hose which is supposed to remove excess ink (so the printer dosent get clogged) gets disconnected and so the printer clogs even more. The C84 had this glitch fixed but alot of good that did!
