Question about HP PhotoSmart 7960 InkJet Printer
Every now and then when I am printing the printer stops, makes a shreaking sound, and a error message comes up saying the cradle cartridge is stuck. It is happening more and more. Has nothing to do with paper jams. I was printing a "sample" page of stamps from stamps.com and the columns of stamps are not straight up and down but at an angle. A shipping label I printed was not good. Scan codes were not clear and the only part of the form that was clear was the send to address and return address, which was a good thing. Can anyone help?
Make sure the cover that holds the ink cartridge in place is completely closed down on the cartridge. Also make sure there is not a pencil or something under the cover where the ink is , obstructing the print head

Test printing the label on a sheet of paper instead of labels.
Make sure that any "Fit-to-Page" or "Reduce/Enlarge" or "Scale to Fit" setting are disabled in your printer driver. To do this click on Start>Printers and Faxes, select your printer, right click the mouse and click on the Printing Preferences option. You should find the setting in the Effects tab.
Please be more specific about "it will not recognize what to print".
Hope this helps.
