I am wanting to reset my Philips Laser MFD 6050 fax machine.

You must find out who is sending the fax and tell them to stop. Hook up an old phone with caller ID. Afterwards unplug the power cord for 5 mins.

My Philips Magic 5 will not receive faxes. It sends them ok and makes and receives calls ok. The people sending me faxes say that they can send to everyone else ok, so what can be wrong?

if you have a digitized phone line you can do nothing about these problems. faxing will eventually die out anyway.

Nope, it's just a big telephone answering machine that prints.

Check the phone line with a regular phone.

Listen for a dial-tone.

the green flashing light means your ink cartridge is empty
you need to replace this before you can send/receive
once you have installed new ink green light will go out

The fax hackers are still researching the method to disable plug-n-print chipcard in magic 5 series. magic 3 series has been solved in hidden service menu.

This means you need to buy a new inkfilm with new chipcard included. sorry.
