My acer crystal eye webcam is not working...it says that the camera is not installed or is occupied by another user

PUT THE DRIVER DISK AND INSTALL IT.NOT WILL BE THE PROBLEM OF HARDWARE

OR

REINSTALL THE " OS "

Not installed? Look at the Device Manager and see if there is a camera under Imaging Devices, if not, it is not installed.

In use by another user, well rebooting would take care of that issue.

If it's installed and the drivers are there correctly try ManyCam, it's so simple.
You can always download Manycam and install it. Go towww.google.com and in the search box type: "download.cnet.com"(without the quotes). Click on the link to go to the site. When thesite opens look down on the left and you will see a gray area that says FindSoftware. Type "Manycam" (without the quotes) in the whitesearch area then hit the search mirror. When it brings back your resultslook for the one that says ManyCam Virtual Webcam. Down load it andinstall it. Make sure you remove the check box on any junky programs itwould like to install. You only want to install ManyCam, no additionswhatsoever during the install. ManyCam is totally FREE and easy to use,and you will always know where your webcam software is.

When computers issue nonsense messages regarding driver conflicts like this, first on my suspect list is the residual effects of a virus/worm/trojan horse/malware/rootkit/spyware. Do a deep virus scan on your system, then restart your system. If the error re-appears, then the virus has left behind resudual damage (to the software). You may be able to fix this damage by de-installing the driver and other
software and driver for this device, then re-installing the driver & software.

The acer web site for driver downloads is below, but it looks like you have to register your
acer product to access the driver(s) - since I'm using a HP Pavilio laptop, I was unable to
access the drivers for your computer.

Try downloading and installing the newest drivers for the model of your computer.

If this doesn't fix it, make sure you are not using any programs like ManyCam or anything that would be using your webcam. You can only use the webcam in one program at a time.

Please unconnect the camera and then plug it back into the computer.
If that does not solve the problem, reboot the computer.
If that does not work, uninstall and re-install the camera drivers by inserting and launching the CD which came with your camera.

hi Not installed if you don t installed driver webcam and occpied by another application like you open msn and skype in the same time and the two application occupe the webcam ,here you cannot. try to reinstall driver webcam

If your webcam is installed in an Acer computer product you may be able to find support on the Acer website. Would need the name and model numb r of your product.

If you have a stand alone Acer webcam you may have to try one of the sites that make drivers available. This one may be one of your best options:

Pls check whether the drivers r install or not. if not then first of all install the drivers for crystal eveyclick on start then click on my computer and acer crystal eye webcam will show up then click on the camera.
