You need to open up your PSP (But it will void the warranty!) remove the circle button and then make sure there is no dirt under it, then replace it back. It is not that hard to open a PSP, you can find many videos on how to do it.

Your home button is stuck and needs to be free.
You have to open your PSP in the front face, and check the button and flex.

look all i didwas take a cotton swab (the one that goes in ur ear) and tore off a little peice and rolled it into a ball and u should see a little square lookin thing and a black little stick lookin thing in the square and thats what makes it read and its located at the top right corner of ur psp 3000 where the silver thing that closes the psp its between there hope this helped!!!!
