Because the switch is broken and stuck in the "on" position. Until you fix it all you can do is plug it in and out for operation. If you are handy you can take the switch out, make the repair of the broken part, and reuse.
They wanted 35 dollars for the switch on my Karcher power washer. Yeah, right!
I had the same problem and I let the battery run down to stop it cycling on and off. My husband investigated it and found that there is a fault with the on board battery charge sensing circuit. (when the charge is about 10 to 15 % remaining the onboard ic controller cycles the unit on and off, irrespective of the switch. He checked it by cutting wires to the switch and it still cycled off and on so the switch was not faulty.
He put it all back together and said to charge it before it gets too low. If it cycles on and off it probably needs a re charge at that point.
Unfortunately there is no battery level indicator on the tool and nothing to suggest in the manual of what may happen when battery is flattening.
I am taking this up with Karcher as I only used it three times so far and it it was not a cheap gadget. Hope this helps
I could be that the rubber washer that is on the piece that the hose screws on to is dried out. Try replacing it. Any outdoor products store would have it.
If you have not yet found a solution, then here are some steps to take.
1. The soap dispenser only works on low pressure!!!!!!! So you have to
REMOVE the high pressure Sprayer so that all you use is the Trigger
Gun without the Extender.
2. Pull out the thin Plastic Hose with the filter attached in the end, and insert into your container of detergent.
It will only splatter the detergent over the area you want to clean, so
you will then need to REATTACH the SPRAYER into the hand gun to work
with the soap to lather, clean and spray of till clean.
This seems to be the way the system works on this model......also known
as K2.36M (AU) in Australia or (EU) in Europe on the Karcher.com.au
site then Service then Manuals. or on the link below.
Hope this helps any of you who has misplaced their Owners Manual just
like I did and had a great problem trying to find a link as Karcher
doesn't recognize the Model No: as Winner 10 or 11.
