Please can I have assistance on the recalibration of my super pro miosture meter. The machine is measuring 2 % higher then it should on maize

Sure, I'd be happy to help you recalibrate your Super Pro moisture meter. Here are the steps you can follow:
  1. Find a reference sample: You will need a sample of maize that has a known moisture content that is different from the current reading on your moisture meter. You can either purchase a certified reference sample or make your own by drying a sample of maize in an oven or using a moisture analyzer.
  2. Adjust the calibration: Turn on your Super Pro moisture meter and press the "calibrate" button. Using the reference sample, adjust the calibration of the moisture meter by adding or subtracting the required percentage points to match the known moisture content of the reference sample. For example, if the reference sample has a moisture content of 14% and your moisture meter is reading 16%, you will need to subtract 2% from the calibration.
  3. Verify the calibration: After adjusting the calibration, test the moisture meter again using the reference sample to verify that the readings match the known moisture content. If the readings do not match, adjust the calibration again until you get an accurate reading.
  4. Document the calibration: Once you have verified the calibration, document the adjustments you made and the reference sample used for future reference.
It's important to note that different types of maize can have different calibration requirements, so it's a good idea to recalibrate your moisture meter regularly and for different types of maize samples. You can also refer to the manufacturer's instructions for specific calibration procedures for your Super Pro moisture meter.

I have an Observer Thermostat that's about 1 yr old. It's reading 5 degrees higher than 2 different digital thermometers. Is there a way to calibrate these things?

There is no way to calibrate the thermostat. It is set at the factory with an accuracy range of 2 to 3 degrees. It also can be the location of the thermostat. Even the wall it is mounted on can contribute to heat range. It is also measuring the ambient temperature in the room, which can vary depending on the contents of the room. If it aint broke, don't fix it. It is getting too cold to fiddle with the thermostat.

For seca 763 having problem with the display. All led segment was displayed and weight is varying.Kindly help.

Try weighing an inanimate object, is the weight stable? Maybe you're stabalizing yourself by holding on to something? That will throw it off. all weight must be on the base and not moving to get an accurate reading. If it's still unstable it need new weight sensors and calibration. Probably not a DIY.

Calibrate a mega weigh mgp-1014 digital pocket scale

Calibrating a digital pocket scale like the Mega Weigh MGP-1014 ensures that it provides accurate measurements. Here are the general steps for calibrating such a scale:
Note: It's important to refer to your scale's user manual for specific instructions, as calibration methods can vary between different models.
What You'll Need:
  • Calibration weights (these are weights with known, precise values)
  • The Mega Weigh MGP-1014 scale
  • A clean, stable surface for calibration
Steps:
  1. Read the Manual: Familiarize yourself with the user manual that came with the scale. It should provide specific instructions on how to calibrate the scale.
  2. Clean the Scale: Ensure that the scale's weighing platform is clean and free from any debris. This helps to prevent interference with the calibration process.
  3. Power On: Turn on the scale and wait for it to stabilize, displaying "0.0" or the default reading.
  4. Tare (Optional): If your scale has a tare function, you can use it to zero out the weight of any container you plan to use to hold the calibration weights. Place the empty container on the scale and press the tare button.
  5. Select Calibration Mode: Many scales have a calibration mode that you need to access. Refer to your user manual to determine how to enter the calibration mode on the Mega Weigh MGP-1014.
  6. Add Calibration Weight: Place a calibration weight of a known value onto the scale's platform. The weight should match the unit of measurement you plan to use (grams, ounces, etc.).
  7. Calibration Procedure: Follow the specific instructions provided in the user manual to initiate the calibration procedure. This usually involves pressing buttons or following on-screen prompts. The scale will often ask you to confirm the weight value of the calibration weight you added.
  8. Confirm or Adjust: The scale should display the weight you added as the calibration weight. Confirm that the displayed weight matches the known value of the calibration weight. If there's a discrepancy, follow the manual's instructions to adjust the calibration setting accordingly.
  9. Repeat if Necessary: Some scales require calibration with multiple weights to ensure accuracy across the scale's entire range. If this is the case, follow the manual's instructions for using additional calibration weights.
  10. Exit Calibration Mode: Once you've completed the calibration procedure, exit the calibration mode according to the instructions provided in the user manual.
  11. Test with Known Items: After calibration, test the scale's accuracy by weighing objects of known weight to ensure that it's providing accurate readings.
Remember that the exact calibration process can vary depending on the scale model, so always refer to the user manual for the most accurate instructions. If you're unsure about any step, it's recommended to contact the manufacturer's customer support for assistance.

I have an Omron Model HEM-711 AC which is about 5 years old. When I use it the reading sometimes it will vary about 10 points if I take my blood pressure several times in the same sitting. Sometimes...

After 5 years, the unit probably needs re-calibrating. In which case, you'll need to have the manufacturer do that. Most off that service free of charge or just a minimal charge. Contact Omron.

Compass reading on GPS 60cSx about 30 degrees too high

Calibrate the compass (Main menu --> Setup --> Calibration --> Compass), follow the instructions on the screen.
Also, see page 50 of the manual.
Calibration must be done outside - stay clear of any large metallic object (e.g. car).

Autohelm st50 how to calibrate??? wind instrument

I had one. Don't think you calibrate it. Reading is relative to it's mounting base. To change the direction reading, you would need to rotate the base.
