Green is gone

My sony trinitron picture has no green on external video. However internal video, the volume display etc, are fully green. How can the tv not display the green from an external source, cable & dvd, and still display the internal text and slides in pure green?

Try altering the external video equipment to give out composite or CVBS.

It currently maybe on RedGreenBlue mode, i.e all colours are being transmitted on a different wire. one signal path maybe faulty

Volume on gateway nv57h44u

Hi,

If the volume on the youtube player is up fully and so is the master volume on the laptop then I would suggest you get a small bluetooth speaker. I use a wired external speaker on one of my laptops as the internal speakers are very weak .. Why not bring your laptop to a small computer shop and try different speakers to see what suits you.

Sony trinitron

Check the video output card for any loose solderng, especially to green video output stage. This is a common fault to Sony TVs. The video output card can be located at the back [neck] of the pricture tube, will directly plugged on to it. If you're sound in electronics, and wish to get more details, check this link. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ Selecting the view option, either to Mosaic / Flip card, can be selected by the drop-down list, by the top left of the display window, will make surf easy. You can also do a search, by type in the brand name / model number / IC used, in the search box at the top right of the display window.

Sony Trinitron KV-28LS36U no sound or picture, the standby light flashing green and red but if i switch it on a little bit of sound comes and then switches off. how can i repair?

The unit is shutting itself down because a problem was detected internally. When this happens, the standby light should blink a repeated pattern. Please count the number of blinks and post the number here. That will indicate the circuit in which the problem occurred.

Thanks,
Dan
