Question about Haier HDP18PA Stainless Steel Free-Standing Dishwasher

Dishwasher does not go past first cycle and constintly continues to wash put on at 9am came home at 6pm and was still going

You have either a faulty element or thermostat. Your timer is controlled by the temperature, it wont click on until it reaches the correct temperature. If you want to try and fix then SWITCH POWER OFF and pull machine out.
1) Remove all water from inside
2) Put machine on left hand side and remove bottom panel if possible. Normally 2 or 4 screws. If not then remove front kick plate and panel behind.
3) Locate thermostat, should be a small round device attached to the bottom of the tank and will have 2 wires connected to it, there may also be a high limit stat beside it if so then you will need to replace both of these. You can get them from online spares sites and inputing your make and model and selecting the stat set.
3) If this doesn't help then you will need to replace the element.

Samsung DMT300RFW Builtin Dishwasher will not run past wash cycle. I start it and it fills and the wash cycle starts but won't cycle past the wash cycle. No error codes.
What do you mean, it won't "run past the wash cycle"? Do you mean it stays in the wash cycle forever? Or do you mean it quits in the wash cycle and doesn't rinse or dry?

Thanks for using FixYa. If the cycle doesn't complete, then the first thing that should be checked is the Timer and then the heating element. Timers don't often fail. But if every other part of the dishwasher seems to be working properly and the timer knob seems to be stuck in one place--doing one function continuously--the timer may be at fault. Dishwasher timers can't be repaired. If yours is defective, replace it. Many dishwashers heat the wash and/or rinse water to a higher temperature, as the cycle calls for it. In these cycles, the dishwasher pauses after it has filled with water, waiting for the water to reach the pre-set temperature. What happens next depends, as follows: On some units, the pause is timed and the unit continues after the allotted time. On others, the cycle can't continue until the water reaches the higher temperature. If you have this type of dishwasher and the water isn't being heated (say, because of a problem with the heating element or thermostat), after the unit stops at the heating cycle, it never continues. When you repair the heating-system problem, the "cycle problem" is fixed too. Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Dial gets stuck
MOST DISHWASHERS HAVE A PAUSE DURING THE HEAT
CYCLE IF TH WATER ISN'T HOT ENOUGH OR IF A HIGH
TEMP WASH IS SELECTED. NORMALLY, THE TIMER WILL
ADVANCE WHEN THE TEMP IS HOT ENOUGH TO TRIP THE
THERMOSTAT. IF IT NEVER GOES PAST THAT POINT, THERE MAY BE A FAILURE IN THE HEATER CIRCUIT.
