Using the instructions below try
Cleanup first, if that doesn't work... (if you have a backup of all your music on your computer), try the
format option
This is from Creative's website:
Zen V Plus and Zen V

Detach your player from the PC if it is connected, and turn off the player.
If the player stops responding, you can reset the player. To reset the player, gently
insert a thin object into the
Reset hole located below the power switch.
2. Press and hold the
Play button while powering on your player.
3. When the player displays the Creative logo, release the
Play button.
It will display the following options:
Clean Up
Scans the player and removes invalid links from its music library.
Does not affect music files themselves.
Format (All)
Caution! Erases all content!
Save a copy of your player's content before formatting.
Reload OS/ Firmware
Caution! Erases your player's firmware.
DO NOT select the
Reload Firmware option unless you have access to a PC and you have downloaded the necessary firmware to install.
Reboot
Reboots the device.

Computer stopped recognizing that Creative Zen V Plus is plugged in. The USB port works for thumb drive. The Zen is recognized by my laptop.
Wonder if my registry cleanup program could have caused a problem (RegCure). I've been using RegCure for several months without incident.
Having the same issue - computer will not recognize Zen V Plus. I've always had problems with the connection, but I've always got connected in the past. This time no luck !

My Zen will not connect to my computer at all. Do I have to reinstall the programs again???
same here. i can see my zen in explorer but not copy files to it ( explorer crashes when i try to copy files into the zen, but not when i copy files out of it). and it's just not detected by the mediasource organizer.
how come my mp3 wont connect to my computer
