I have a e-system laptop with windows vista, i use a 3 ubs brodband . I want to play wifi games on my ds lite but i keep getting a message saying that an access point is not found. Without using a wifi usb connector, is there somethings i should be doing on my laptop for the wifi games to work?

Try changing your WiFi encription to WEP or no security, this should be available on your cablemodem/router web internface (need a user and password for that) under the Wireless/Security option.

DS Lite is not compatible with any other WiFi encription for online gaming: "Important note about the Nintendo DSi and WPA security: While the Nintendo DSi is compatible with WPA security, Nintendo DS games with online play still require the use of WEP or no security to connect with the Nintendo WFC. Therefore, your connection settings for using these games must be set up on slots 1-3. If you need more details on using your adjusting your router's settings,click here and select your router (if available).

You have to have WiFi connections setup for your DS Lite. While in game (or on the main menu of the game), select Nintendo WiFi settings. It will bring you to a menu with 3 connection options. Choose one that says "Ready" and select the Search option. Once you find a connection you want to use, it will perform a test to make sure it will connect. Once that is done, just back out and resume playing. Now anytime the game asks to connect to WiFi, it will have no problem.

You can play multiplayer games with a Nintendo DS Lite even if you don’t possess a copy of the game. If one of your friends has a multiplayer game card, they can use their Nintendo DS Lite as a host for the game session and you can join the multiplayer game.

Using One Card to Host the Game
1. Step 1 Look on the game’s packaging for the "Multiplayer" icon. If the game requires only one player to have a copy of the game, the icon will show two DS Lites: a DS Lite with a black screen transmitting waves to a DS Lite with a white screen. Below the two DS Lites is a range of numbers which indicates how many players the game can support.
   
2. Step 2 Put the game card in the Nintendo DS Lite that is acting as the host for the multiplayer game session and start it up.
   
3. Step 3 Have the other players turn on their systems. They will use the main menu screen to access the "DS Download Play" icon. They need to tap the icon to begin downloading the game information from the host DS Lite.
   
4. Step 4 Begin playing when all of the systems have finished downloading the game information from the host.
   
Multiple Cards for Multiple Players
5. Step 1 Look at the "Multiplayer" icon. If every player in the game session needs a copy of the game in order to play, the icon will show two DS Lites, both with black screens, transmitting waves toward each other. A range of numbers is under this graphic and indicates how many people can play at one time.
   
6. Step 2 Read the game's instruction manual on how to set up the game session. The steps required vary by company and sometimes by title within the same company.

upload and install the latest tt menu's 1.17 (3) and put all 3 onto card. remove any old tt ones first.

i connect my micro sd card to my pc through a usb card reader, i guess you may do similar. with mine once connected it automatically pops up a window that is the sd card, i guess the same with u or u go through the menu/my computer to find it, well once there wen i right click on my mouse while in the sd card window one of the options i get is th format, it should b quite easy and hopefuly, usually sorts glithes, hope it works 4 u.

i had a ds since it came out and now my ds dosent work so id say ur ds is old so u shud get a new one

you probably don't have or are in range with a wireless hotspot. some starbucks and panera have free wifi.to install wifi, read the wifi instruction booklet (it comes with wifi compatible games).

wep is just a 10digit key, try putting the same one on the laptop, and the DS

First DS (system you are transferring the ID from)

1. Turn on any Nintendo WFC-compatible game and access the WFC Setup Utility. (Consult the game manual for the game you are playing for specific information.)
2. Tap "Options."
3. Tap "Transfer Nintendo WFC Configuration."
4. Tap "Ok", then tap "Ok" again.

Second DS (system you are transferring the ID to)

5. Remove all games from the DS you wish to transfer the settings to, then turn the system on.
6. On the DS's main menu, select "DS Download Play."
7. Select "Nintendo WFC Configuration Transfer."
8. Tap "Yes" when asked if you want to download the software. The word "Downloading..." will appear.

First DS

9. On the DS with Nintendo WFC configuration, tap "Ok" to confirm that you wish to transfer the configuration.

Second DS (system you are transferring the ID to)

• If there is an existing configuration on the new DS, tap "Ok" to confirm that you wish to overwrite the existing configuration.
• Once the transfer begins, it will take about half a minute.

Both DS Systems

10. Once the configuration has been transferred, tap "Ok" to save the changes and shut each system off.

All of the Friend Codes you had given or received on the previous Nintendo DS will now work in the Nintendo DS system you transferred the ID to.
