The HDM1 on the DVD player model DVP3962/37 has no signal. The player has been working for a year with no problem. We can only watch the DVD on component 1 which is not in color.

How do I get a signal?

The only thing between the player and the TV is the cable. Make sure it isn't the problem by trying a different cable or a different input on the TV.
